This very early Corvette, still equipped with the six-cylinder Blue Flame engine, one of only 3’640 examples built, was delivered through Barington Chevrolet in Minneapolis to A.R. Compton in Excelsior, Minnesota and was equipped with the optional heater and a deluxe radio. In 1991 the car was imported from Florida with its coachwork restored. In preparation for the Swiss MOT, the engine was equipped with new pistons, a new camshaft and new conrod bearings. On 10th January 1992 the Corvette was inspected for the first time by the Argovian authorities. The car, with its original matching numbers engine and the original Carter carburettors corresponds to its delivery specifications. In 2013 the Corvette was shown at the Concorso d‘Eleganze Villa d’Este as part of a special Chevrolet exhibition. This beautiful Corvette is in good to very good condition and will be handed over with the original bill of sale, the original title from its first owner as well as the invoices for the engine overhaul. The most recent Veteran MOT has been completed in May 2022.
