This Coronet with its gigantic 7.2 litre V8, delivering 375hp and a mountain of torque, was brought to Switzerland from the USA to be shown at the Geneva salon in March 1967. Originally intended to be returned to the US after the show, the car was bought on the spot by a Bernese gentleman. The first registration was completed on the 16th of April 1967. In 1971 the Coronet was taken over by its second owner who kept the car for the next 43 years. With the exception of a repaint in its original colour (because of a damage suffered in a storm in 1984), the Dodge is 100% in its original condition. This outstanding originality was the reason for the actual and only third owner to fall in love with the car in 2014. As an absolute originality fanatic, he decided not to repair the defective driver’s seat, but original seat covers are available and for about 1’500 Swiss francs both front seats can be retrimmed. We are proud to offer this very rare and very original Coronet R/T with matching numbers engine, gearbox and axles in good condition, freshly serviced and with the most recent Veteran MOT completed in May 2018.
