This imposing yet ever so elegant Jaguar drophead with its 3.5 litre inline 6-cylinder engine, one of only 577 examples built with left hand drive, was imported into Switzerland from the USA around 20 years ago. In 2004 the MkV was taken over by the vendor and he had the engine overhauled in 2006. The interior, with its red leather, was restored in 2008. Receipts for over 70’000 Swiss Francs are available. In the years after the restoration the Jaguar was occasionally used for pleasant summer outings. Due to lack of time and frequent trips abroad, the Jaguar was stored some six years ago and has hardly seen any use since. Some careful recommissioning and a major service are certainly required before the car is used again. The last Veteran MOT was completed in August 2010.
